Since 1987, Sonshine Roofing has served well over 10,000 clients in Sarasota County, Charlotte County, Manatee County, and the surrounding region. Whenever possible, we focus on making repairs that extend the life of your roof. Our specialty is keeping your existing roof in good working condition as long as possible; however, if the time has come that repairs are no longer cost-effective or feasible, then we will discuss roof replacement with you.

About Angela
Angela and her husband have been married for more than 30 years and have raised two fabulous kids. Grandma is her absolute favorite role and she highly recommends having lots of grandchildren; they are the best! In her spare time, she can be found enjoying a hot cup of tea and a good book, working on a new painting, or going on an adventure with her family. Her teams are the Green Bay Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Tampa Bay Lightning and she gets loud and rowdy while watching them play. Angela has been on staff at Sonshine Roofing since 2013.

Retired 20-year Police Officer veteran from the El Paso Police Department, El Paso, Texas who has a Florida Building Contractor License (inactive) and has worked as a construction consultant since his retirement in 1996. He joined SonShine Roofing as a roofing specialist/salesman about 2 years ago and has brought his 35+ years in construction management experience in both Texas and Southwest Florida to the SonShine Roofing family.

Adam hails from the state of Maine. He and his family made Florida their home in 2022. Traveling is a favorite pastime and he has visited nearly every state in the USA. Fishing, hiking, watching football and hockey are what he likes doing when he’s not playing with his son, working, or traveling.

This native Floridian loves his fur babies, is a very social guy with a great sense of humor, enjoys hanging out with family and friends, watching movies, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is also happily married to Tara, our Project Support Specialist. Since 2018, Josh has been elbows-deep in the production department at Sonshine Roofing. He works closely with each team to get roofing projects completed and sees the job through from start to finish. Speaking on Josh’s behalf, Tara, says that the best part of his job is working with his stunning wife every day.

Tony spent more than 28 years serving and protecting others as a U.S. Marine, in local law enforcement, and as a U.S. Coast Guard reservist. After a year of retirement, he joined Sonshine in 2022. He has three grown daughters that are each his favorite and he loves to spoil them.

JB grew up in the roofing business; working on roofs with his father from a young age. After finishing school, he served our community for more than 25 years in law enforcement. Once he retired as a deputy, he came on full time at Sonshine. JB is a father of three who enjoys traveling with his wife as often as possible.

Jeremy started his career with Sonshine Roofing roofing in 2000 where he worked in sales for about 2 years. After this he moved to the Bahamas where he met his wife. He is a proud father of 2 boys.
Jeremy rejoined Sonshine Roofing in 2018 working as a roofing specialist. He strives to find the best solution for our customers and will go above and beyond to help anyone out. In his spare time he likes to fish and boat with his family.

Tara is Florida born and raised. She is a devoted mother to two bright and beautiful daughters whom she adores, and wife to Josh. Family is by far the most important thing to her. When Tara met her husband, he was already on staff at Sonshine and loving it. She didn’t hesitate to leave a long-time job elsewhere to join the Sonshine Roofing team at the first opportunity. Tara has been a team member since 2020.

Rob is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who has funny stories to tell about eating exotic Asian foods while serving the Country. He played rugby for years until a broken leg took him out of the game. Sports are his favorite pastime and he is an avid fan. Go, Yankees! He’s been married to his wonderful wife for more than 10 years. Rob joined Sonshine in 2024.

Son of JB, Michael was born in Sarasota, raised in North Port, and now resides in Tampa where he started his career working for The University of South Florida and Hillsborough County Public Schools as a Spanish and Bilingual Social Studies teacher. Since then, he has pivoted into digital marketing and automation, now working for Sonshine Roofing in 2025.
He has always enjoyed tinkering with computers and has a passion for the arts. In his free time, Michael never backs down to a game of cards, loves walking his dog, Soli, and enjoys riding his motorcycle with a group of friends.

Steve grew up right here in Sarasota. After traveling the world in service with the U.S. Navy, he returned to Sarasota and worked for the County until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman and an acclaimed photographer, Steve loves spending time in nature and being with his family.
